Absolutely normal! for housewares
To be honest I was surprised at how well they work! It took about 10 minutes to scrape off all the balls of lint but it was worth it! I recommend laying a tightly knit sweater or piece of clothing on a flat surface and then tilting the comb so it makes a 45 degree angle with the table. Then scrape in one direction. Don't put too much pressure on loosely knitted garments! It wasn't perfect, but great for the price!
