I live in rural Texas. The tone is carried FAR. LOL This thing reverberated around the area at 5:15pm Central Time. I blew it up before the sun came out. God this thing is loud. I'm 57 and bought this in case I got in trouble, in the parking lot etc. This is the REAL deal. Heavy and solid. No flimsy metal stuff. It's thick and heavy so it will last a long time. As I said, I bought it to get attention when I have problems or help. I tried it twice and was completely convinced that I had made the right choice. I paid 9.14 and it was worth it. Get one for protection. Or buy an Acme police whistle. You need it in case you get into trouble and have nothing else. THIS WILL GET ATTENTION! All the dogs in the area started barking after I screwed up. I ordered it on June 29th and it arrived on July 11th. It took a while to get to me so don't be discouraged. Yes, the wait was worth it.
