There is a better option

I wanted this collar and it is better than the regular dog pull collar, but there is one big flaw in my opinion. This collar did not work as effectively as a collar with teeth to prevent pulling. My trainer looked at this collar and didn't like it. A Herm Sprenger type collar is better because it tightens more evenly around the circumference, making it safer and more effective. If you compare the two collars, the Sprenger has chains that slide through the loops and then connect, allowing them to slide tighter with ease, while this collar has fabric straps that come together but don't slip through the loops and are tightened less effectively . Also, the fabric will wear out over time, and the sprinkler will likely last forever. There are Sprenger collars that open quickly. I got one from petco, although Revain probably has it. I suggest making sure it's taken off quickly as you don't want to leave the spiked collar on when you're not going as it can irritate your skin. The only advantage of this collar over the sprinkler is that it is easy and simple to put on. use. The type of sprinkler I have is also easy to use once you know how, but it can be confusing for some people at first. I suggest spending ten bucks more for a stainless steel Sprenger style, even if it's a different brand. I find it safer and more efficient with more even pressure distribution.
