Review on πŸ”§ MaxxHaul 70380: Ultimate Black/Chrome Adjustable Dual Ball Mount by Reid Rickerson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a beast for money, though. . .

. . . a distinct gap at the attachment point of the stem to the female hitch and at the attachment point of the hitch ball assembly to the height adjustable channel. Lots of clanking and noise, but the thing is built like brick manure! Solid steel shaft. Thick steel U-profile. Durable, one-piece ball head. Significant welds. Three stars for now due to concerns about how the loose tolerances affect towing a larger RV. Maybe an increase (or decrease) in the rating later. Check for tailgate dropping when the hitch is installed in the raised position and the hitch balls are near the top holes. A longer leg can cause problems with shorter drag chains. The weight of the assembled hitch is 30 pounds or 60 pounds according to various sources. A heavier hitch can affect the weight of your tongue. But given the price, it's worth it!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Almost never
