Top gauge can be used in hard to reach places
The gauge mounts on the end of the pipe meaning no extra gauge play is needed when threading onto the pipe. For other control gauges I had to add a 90 degree angle to allow enough clearance for the gauge when tightening it onto the pipe. Adding the elbow created two more connections that could leak, making these sensors more difficult to use.
