I bought this monitor to replace the 2-27" monitors on my desk. As space was an issue I was concerned that it would be too wide overall. If it isn't, it fits perfectly and does a great job of replacing the 2 Monitors I had before..Now I can open multiple spreadsheets and easily navigate between them.Can't comment on how it performs in gaming but in normal office work I have no complaints, easy on the eyes, no flickering at all.The VESA mount is a bit odd in design. You screw the stand or the special mount that you get with the monitor to this little square built into the back. You will need a Phillips screwdriver for assembly. The stand isn't very tall, so for my height and to be able to see the monitor properly, I had to put it on a stand about 3" tall to get the correct viewing angle. D he monitor can also be tilted up and down to fine-tune the viewing angle.
