later It's hard not to start with the fact that twenty-five dollars is a lot for a piece of plastic, so question number one is whether it's worth it. I like to put my computer monitor on a stand. Height adjustment used to be fairly standard on monitors, but more than that, you're in luck if they tilt back and forth. But I bought this stand for several reasons other than just putting the screen at eye level. I use a high-performance HP workstation, conveniently housed in a mini form factor. I like having it right on my desk for instant access to the various ports I use for my graphics business. I stock eight to ten monitor stands that for one reason or another weren't what I needed, so I spent an hour looking for something simple, durable, attractive, and functional. I found this one but was concerned about putting the weight of a 27" monitor on it and making sure it would fit my workstation. I am very happy with what I received, in fact it was better than expected. The plastic is very durable and comes with four tiny non-slip silicone feet. The size is exactly the same as the base of my monitor and is the perfect size to house my workspace and access all ports and efficient airflow for ventilation. The nice thing is that the stand looks very clean. and modern - I like to keep my work environment very minimal to avoid distractions. I've only seen a few stands that look exactly like this one and of course I can't compare them side by side but I'm very satisfied and would recommend this as a good choice.
