Review on Hilmor 1839153 Hose Set of 3 - High Performance 60 Inch Tubes by Jen Smith

I would like to front this review, I am an HVAC technician with 11 years of experience. The first set of hoses I ordered was missing the o-ring in the yellow hose, no big deal, Revain replaced the whole set. Waiting for my second set to arrive I continued to use the red and blue hoses. Everything was fine at first until I stumbled across an older carrier system with kingpin valves. The hoses could not be soldered to the service valve. I sent them back anyway, so I figured hand tightening wouldn't close them, so I used my adjustable wrench to tighten them a bit. It's still leaking. Tightened, still leaking. I went back to my van and got the other hoses and no problem. I have used many hoses over the years and this is the first time I have had this problem. For this reason I cannot give more than 1 star. I can't use them for what they were meant for. Standard Schrader service valves were no problem.
