This is a great small display for projects, especially for the Rapsberry Pi. Whether you're trying to minimize space or fit it into a project case, the ledge of the socket pops out immediately and the case disassembles like an iPhone (no screws, just a latch and some glue). Just stick a thin screwdriver into the connecting line (between the chrome and black) and the front will pop out instantly. As with all those tiny LCDs, if you're fiddling with loose parts outside of the case, be aware that ribbon cables are fragile and you should try to bend them as little as possible as they can break. If you want to run this display and a Raspberry Pi I suggest you plug in 12V and then just buy a cheap $1 USB charger, take it apart and you have a built in USB port. Just find a cheap Android USB cable and you're good to go.
