These kicks are WAY above their class. Listening to Blon-BL-O5 is a pleasure. I wear them for 6 hour sessions with no fatigue, unlike all the KZ-iems versions I have which tend to be harsh in the high-altitude zone. You sound amazing. I'm not an audiophile, but I love music more than most. I also listen to a lot of podcasts and books on cassette. I own a range of headphones from hi-fi brands like KZ and TRN to big brands like Sony and Shure to more expensive smaller companies like BGVP or Camp Fire. One thing is for sure, at $40-$55 they are related to headphones that I have spent a lot more on. It's amazing what a difference of 1-2 years. For some reason I like setups with multiple drivers, especially ones that use the driver with 2-3 balanced anchors. Before I heard BL-O5 I was prepared that I wouldn't like them. I think there's no way they can deliver the same sound quality and layers of much more sophisticated headphones. WOW was I wrong. I can't believe this is just a dynamic driver. The bass is not too accentuated, but still hits quickly and precisely. Some might say the bass is too heavy, but I'm a bit into bass and I really like its balance and tonal signature. The mids sound organic, detailed and a bit warm to me. Both male and female vocals sound good. The highs are fair, and this is the only area where the sound signature isn't quite perfect. As I said, they are not exhausting, but something seems to be missing. I'm picky because the BL-O5 is better than the BL-O3 in every way, and everyone in the audio industry knows it's sent a benchmark for budget headphones. I use them with an Ear Studio ES100 amplifier and headphones. The headphones sound loud enough without distortion. They even sound great when I plug them directly into my iPhone (with a dongle, of course). Real headphones are well made and durable. BLON chose a design that has stood the test of time and fit most people's ears. Most will say the fit is a step up from the BLO-O3 and I agree. There are 2 areas where BLON BL-O5 could be better: Wire Quality: It's thin and cheap looking. While the thin wire works well, it just doesn't reflect the quality of real headphones. I suggest you spend an extra $30-$40 on a braided cable or even upgrade to a balanced cable if you have a way of dealing with that. Accessories: The packaging is minimalist and there are few accessories. While there is a choice of 5 different ear tips and a very cheap carry case, there is nothing else. I really don't expect more, especially for the price. If you haven't clicked the Buy button yet, I encourage you to do so. You won't find better sounding headphones for the price. Even if you've spent four times as much, few headphones sound as good. There's a reason the O3 has become the benchmark for comparing all headphones and they take it to the next level!
