I got them to make bearings for a differential repair I was doing. Ready made assembly bearings cost over $100 so I decided to take a chance and make my own out of old bearings. It exceeded my expectations. I was expecting them to wear out fairly quickly, but I've only opened up both bearings with a 180 and 1120 grit grinder. There is still life in both wheels. A previous reviewer complained that they weren't known for grit. That's true, but I just used a marker and wrote on the wheel label. The bags they come in are labeled so you don't have to fully guess. In this price range you certainly can't go wrong with these grinders. I can foresee hundreds of uses for them in my shop.
