Review on πŸ“Ά Boost Your Wi-Fi Signal with TP-Link N300 Wireless Extender and Router - 2 High Power Antennas, Access Point, WISP, 300Mbps by Haruto Asahi ᠌

The product is working, I will not repeat it for sure.

But I can not characterize the device as "set from forgot." I would like to, but I can’t, because Spontaneous reset of the settings on the stock firmware after only a year of operation is not normal. Unfortunately, recently an OpenWRT bug with a sharp drop in WiFi speed began to appear (AFAIK, still not fixed). Because there are no other working firmware for my device now, I will change the router to some other one. And most likely it will not be TP-Link, because. I also have TL-MR3220v2 + OpenWRT, and not everything is going smoothly there either.

Pros
  • In conditions of relatively pure ether, it provides good speed (but did not test it in other conditions). Normally supports PPPoE. Worked for about a year with no problems at all.
Cons
  • 1. After a year or so, the settings began to spontaneously reset. ating the firmware to the latest official did not help. I had to install OpenWRT. Everything is ok with her (well, or almost ok - see the comment). 2. Since there is no USB, you can't really get around with OpenWRT - the built-in flash memory may not be enough for all the Wishlist. 3. Stock firmware does not support IPv6.
