Inexpensive way to brighten up a room

This is a cool little two pack at a great price. a nice touch as a bonus. First, you get flexible light and disco light together (packaged separately but bundled together). You will also receive the USB adapters pictured, USBA to Micro, to C and to iPhone. They were pictured but I thought it was just implying that you could use them to connect to your phone but they actually provide them which is nice. However, if you check, the flashlight's USB port doesn't fully fit into one of the adapters. It doesn't affect how it works at all, it works quite well but feels like it could be done a little bit better. The quality is about what you would expect. Nothing seems high quality, but I don't expect it to break in just a few uses. The flex light is about 8 inches long and flexes and moves as expected. This makes aiming easier. to change the output as shown in the picture. It's basically a kaleidoscope. I really like it and it's perfect for my needs. What I would wish for better is that the tip spins freely, too freely. It has no touch points of clicking or dragging, so you can pick it up very easily and change the setting you want. Something I wanted but wasn't expecting from a $9 item was a spectrum changing effect. If it had gradually changed from smallest to largest variance and back, that would be great. If they could add different colors of LEDs that would be perfect. But then again, for less than ten dollars I didn't expect the world. Which brings me to the disco ball. The disco ball does just that. It has some sort of tiny controller that flashes LEDs that create different bursts of color and light under a disco prism. Depending on what you are looking for, you will get this option. Want crazy flashing lights for your party? Yes it does. Would you like a subtle lighting atmosphere? Use flexible light. Again, the biggest issue for me was that the flexible light is a red light with no other options. It's good, but for atmosphere I'd prefer blue or green (didn't see those options though).
