Review on 🚗 MEGEAR 2021 Gen2 EV Charger (Level 1&Level 2), Upgraded Version 100-240V, 16A, 25ft, Portable EVSE Home Electric Vehicle Charging Station (NEMA6-20&5-15 Plug) by Matthew Goyette

I used this charger 2 times a day to charge my car before work and then recharged it while it was running on 110 volts. My car limits the amp to 12 amps. I've been using this charger for a month and yesterday I unplugged it and smelled like burning plastic. I went to get the charger's blue case and it was too hot to hold with bare hands. There was black dust between the seams of the case, indicating that something had been on fire inside the charger. I unclipped it from the wall and brought it home. When I got home I tried plugging it in to see how long it would take before it overheated (I wanted to keep a close eye on that). I couldn't even plug it into the wall without immediately turning off my 20 amp circuit breaker. I do not trust this product at all and do not recommend it. I usually charge my car at night and am worried that this product will set my house on fire while me and my family sleep. I would buy another brand if you are looking for a car charger.
