Received this cat bed today and my two cats are already enjoying it! I received the package, opened it, put it on the sofa and put it in my pocket. I left the house for a few hours and when I got home my 1 year old cat and 3 month old kitten were curled up in bed enjoying the warmth! I was trying to introduce this bed to my older (8 year old) cat but she looked like she stepped on something unsightly and jumped away. This bed is very soft and plush. It's a little small, but there's definitely enough room for a medium-sized cat and even a bit of room for a kitten. I think a big cat should fit, but it would probably fill the entire bed. I suspect two adult cats probably wouldn't fit all that well, but I don't think this cat bed was designed that way. When there are no cats in bed, it feels slightly warm. If a cat is lying in bed and I put my hand under its body, it is definitely very warm, but not hot. I think this bed would be a nice warm addition for a cat to enjoy in an already heated house that might be a bit chilly as it's winter outside. But it's definitely not intended for use in a garage, shed, or outdoors as it doesn't generate enough heat to cut more cold in those areas. There is a small rounded edge around the bed. This is enough for cats to either tuck their heads into the bed where it's hot or, if they prefer, tuck their chins up and keep them out of the heat. I have seen my 1 year old cat do both. Overall this is a great cat bed designed for single cat use and for home use, just to keep your cat a little warmer if you want to turn the thermostat down a few degrees. Degree. If you have multiple cats, buy multiple cat beds. If you want to put the bed in a place that doesn't have its own heat source, look for a cat bed that's designed for outdoor use.
