I'm disappointed with these routers. I bought 2 of these to support each other. I use 1 as my main router. The second is configured as a wireless bridge and can also be used as a backup for the main router in case the main router fails. To make the backup router primary, all I have to do is restore the backup configuration file from the primary router to the secondary router. I have about 50 devices in my house that I need to set up redundantly, so a second router of the exact same model would certainly help a lot in my case. After the initial setup, everything worked as expected. Unfortunately, from the 2nd day onwards, the main router continued to turn off the internet for the night. I had to restart my router to get internet again. I left it like this for about 4 weeks to further evaluate. After 4 weeks I can say that he has RANDOMLY turned off my internet 3 to 5 times a week, mostly at night, not during the day. I then upgraded the second router to the main router (using the method above) and demoted the main router to the wireless bridge. All of this only took a few minutes as I was again using a backup configuration file. Everything was going well that day which gave me a lot of hope and thought that things shouldn't be that bad for me. Well I was wrong. In the evening of the same day, the 2nd router started shutting down the internet in the same way as the 1st. He did this around 10pm, about 30 minutes before our bedtime while my family was trying to finish their online work. I was unhappy but didn't want to go downstairs to reset the router, did it the next morning. I am still using the 2nd router as my primary router and it has dropped my internet a few more times in the last week. I checked for firmware updates but they are not available. Conclusion: These routers have the exact same problem, they turn off the internet 3 to 5 times a week and mostly at night. By the way, I'm MCSE certified, so setting up these devices is very easy. I have many Linksys network devices, but now I'm thinking of a different brand. I've spent money and I'm not happy.
