If you buy it to work on the long end (photo hunting), it is better to save up for something more worthwhile. if for portraits and reportage, then it will do. In general, the optical quality leaves much to be desired, or not for that kind of money. Pros below: Solid appearance, convenient operation. Good colors and bokeh. Stabilizer. Has cons: Full soap and strong HA at 200-300 mm. on the open. Closing the aperture somewhat improves things, but not dramatically. Slow autofocus, especially at the long end (pseudo-USM).
