Dirty, but still worth it.

Bought this as a Christmas present for two 6 year olds. I bought 2 sets. What's good: It kept her entertained for hours. The silicone molds are great. Inserts are very cool. The little paper with suggestions for candy bars was interesting to read. Bad: - The "melt chocolate while pouring" thing didn't work. Each time the chocolate got too hot in the middle but not melted enough on the sides, causing uneven melting and problems. I had to melt all the chocolate and fill the baby molds. - The lid of the dispenser often bounced and the melted chocolate was smeared on the child's hands. This was because the hexagonal shape caused the corners of the tundish to cool before the center, causing clogging. Once the spout was clogged, the pressure of trying to squeeze the chocolate loosened the lid and voila, the chocolate was at hand. It was amazing too, but the parent was time consuming in terms of melting and cleaning. (omg cleaning). Now you need to know about the following things: - You need to buy chocolate. Don't buy candy melts. I tried this first to save money and the candy doesn't melt the same way. They are thicker and clogging was a problem. - Molds: They need more stuff so they can pour the chocolate or you'll have kids with candy and melted chocolate in front of you and nothing to do but eat them. And they will eat it. - You must bring candy/toppings/etc. buy them or the kids will be digging around your kitchen for something to add to their candy bars. We learned that chocolate syrup does NOT work as a filling. I suggest you buy some nutella, some caramel, a bag of m and m, 3 different types of chocolate chips and pack it. They will eat m and m, wreak havoc and be very proud of their candy bars. - They will have hyper children. But you knew You are viewing "Chocolate Bar Set" for children.
