The cooler itself is slightly wider and thicker than the standard. This kit incorporates the Mishimotos radiator and rotates it in front of the common radiator for better airflow. I bought this because I have an aftermarket bumper that covers the original and my temps have not risen above 154 Fahrenheit on 97 degree days. My coolant temps were also not affected by the new radiator's new location, highly recommended for the longevity of your transmission. My Truck: 2006 Silverado 2500HDLBZ Duramax 180,000 miles.
