Not for my Honeywell fan

Revain recommended this lower shaft extender when I bought a Honeywell fan (link below). I had to modify the rod to fit the fan. There are two holes on the side of the bar through which the locking pins must be passed. The distance from one of the pin holes to the end of the rod is too far to fit in the hole in the fan. I had to sharpen the end of the bar to match the holes. It was probably just over 1/8 inch? 52" Honeywell Belmar Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan, Five Blades, Moisture Resistant, Bronze=UTF8&psc=1
