Good air supply, reasonably quiet
I use these fans behind 1U rackmount gear that need a little more air. Squirrel cage fans meet all requirements very well and let more air through. At the lower speeds I use, the fans are pretty quiet. As you increase the speed you will get more noise, but these fans will move A LOT of air in return. I just installed them so I don't know if they will last long. They're rated for 50,000 hours and if I get even half the continuous use I'll be very satisfied. <fingers crossed>
