All-too-familiar design from Netgear. Takes me back to the time we used free wifi remotely by pointing the adapter at the nearest McDonald's. This old adapter was long outdated and only supported 54 Mbps. Now that I found out that Netgear still makes the same physical adapter with higher speeds, I just had to buy one. Yes, the range still outperforms internal wireless adapters. You can level it or mount it on the wall with the included USB extension cable. Good speeds. As fast as Ethernet in many cases, unless you're downloading more than a gigabit per second you won't notice a difference.
