I really liked this shampoo at first, but after about half a bottle I'm not so happy anymore. YES, it really works when it comes to toning. I am very happy with my hair color. I'm also happy with the smell, it doesn't smell like hair dye like some purple shampoos, it has a very nice subtle floral scent and it's not harsh at all. My biggest complaint is that my hair doesn't appear clean after washing with this shampoo. I shouldn't feel like washing my hair after I've just washed it. I was really upset because I thought I'd finally found the perfect purple shampoo, but I guess I need to keep looking.
