Review on 🔴 Inateck KT4001 PCI-e to USB 3.0 (4 Ports) Expansion Card with 15-Pin Power Connector - Red by Erik Peterson

I work in IT support with 20 years experience so it's unlikely to be user error. The device does not work and it is too much hassle to return it for its price. They gave me no problems, it's just that the shipping or a trip to Kohl's isn't worth the $5 or so I paid. Problem. Connecting power to the board activates the switch in my PSU at startup. The power cables are properly matched, the color matches the color. One of the 4 Molex wires came loose from the connector so I had to pinch/reset it again but that didn't fix the problem. Only the PCI connection lets my computer boot, but doesn't work with USB. Also for a USB stick. I'd like to assume I have a one-off, faulty unit, but I wouldn't buy the same one again, assuming it wasn't tested during production prior to packaging. I'm not sure what I expected for this price but I wouldn't buy this brand again.
