Patron saint of travelers, yes, but not everyone believes in the power of the saints. Anyway, I just felt more comfortable having it in my car because my dad drove it during his years in Vietnam and came home safe and sound. I wore it as a young man after two accidents and a series of travel mishaps that left me almost devastated. After taking the medal with me I was safe until someone I dated loaned it to me for a trip and lost it. My dad was fine with that, said it should be where it was supposed to be, but I never felt the same until I replaced it. Now he's on our sights. Thanks for listening. I'm not religious but someone who likes to be safe. If a piece of molded metal reminds me to buckle up, reassess my surroundings, and drive a little slower than usual, it's worth it.
