Almost like Monoprice 121919 but not quite

I couldn't decide between the Monoprice 121919 Affinity Series and this KableDirekt model so I bought both. They're both gold-plated with 6-blade springs, twin-wire setscrew, and screw-on aluminum caps (except Monoprice has a large cap covering the setscrews, and KableDirekt has a thin cap with a color-coded stripe leaving an open set of screws). With the caps removed they look almost identical with the following differences: 1) KableDirekt has a finer cap thread, probably metric (too lazy to confirm). 2) KabelDirekt has larger adjusting screws, also with thinner threads. , probably also metric. 3) KabelDirekt seems to have slightly thicker pins and springs. In uncompressed form, they measure 5.15mm in diameter versus 5.05mm for Monoprice. That's more than standard, especially considering that Monoprice forks require a certain amount of effort to insert. 4) Subjectively, the Monoprice springs appear to be of a higher quality (I'm really philosophizing here). None of the above apply. justify Star docking, BUT Monoprice explicitly states what material the plugs are made of (gold-plated copper body and gold-plated ferromanganese springs), and KableDirekt's info is nowhere to be found. I don't like it, hence 4 stars.
