DO NOT buy this monitor. I have a Surface Pro with Windows. Samsung markets this monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440; However, it doesn't run above 1920x1080 on my Surface Pro. This creates a distorted/stretched image that's painful on the eyes if you try to use it for more than a few minutes. I spent hours on the phone with my company's IT department (who are professional computer technicians) AND Samsung tech support and none of them were able to solve the problem. Also, I have a Dell Ultrasharp monitor at home that works great and can have a much higher resolution on the same computer/platform. Meaning: This is definitely a problem with the monitor, not the computer. Worse, I have spoken to Samsung many times and they refuse to refund my purchase. They advertise a 30 day return policy and I contacted them within 30 days to return it immediately after opening the box and finding a problem with the monitor. This is totally unacceptable. They sold me a $700+ monitor that doesn't match the screen resolution and "crystal clear" display they are selling. To be honest, I think this is cheating. Bottom line: DO NOT buy this monitor unless you use a Mac (and I'm only saying that because it sounds like Mac users can get a better picture than I can). Otherwise, avoid this monitor and Samsung at all costs.
