I've noticed some patchy reviews and I don't quite understand why. These clippers are very strong and seem to be holding up. They also fade/shrink/merge just the way I like them (when guards are added). You just need to know how to maneuver the clipper on the head/tapered areas etc. I've been cutting my hair for about 20 years and this is the best pair I've ever had. I see people complaining that the clippers get hot after a few minutes. Well that's fine. I have several Andis articles that do the same thing. Anything "plugged in" during operation will become warm (or hot). Does your phone get hot if you charge it while playing around with the app? I think it's a good idea to have multiple clipping materials (I have 3 liner pencils / 2 clippers / 1 clipper for fading) just so you don't wear out an element too much. Overall, I'm glad I made this purchase.
