I really liked the idea of a desktop mosquito trap that could attract and kill bugs. Unfortunately it just doesn't work. I let it run for several hours and despite being bitten repeatedly, the trap didn't contain a single mosquito. I don't think the internal fan is powerful enough to knock down mosquitoes. I don't have a spectrophotometer either, but my guess is that the "UV" light is actually just a purple LED. Maybe I'm wrong, but it had no intensity. Perhaps the problem is that this device is USB powered but does not have an internal battery that can act as a capacitive power source, so its capabilities are limited.
