Review on πŸ§— SE Survivor Series White 50 ft. Diamond Braid Rope - Durable Outdoor Rope for All Your Adventure Needs! by Jerry Gonzalez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slightly more expensive but handy set of ropes

Buying smaller quantities always costs more per unit (per foot in this case) but the rope is fairly easy to store and can be cut to length. necessary, so I don't understand the call to buy shorter lengths. Regardless, it's still a good GP rope and the keeper is really handy for keeping it neat and tidy until you need it. then it's a good buy. Personally, I'd buy a 200ft spool of 3/8" rope (twice the thickness of this rope) for $35 (a quick search for '200' 3/8" rope' comes up with a popular search engine should reveal the source of this great deal). From this larger, stronger supply of rope I would cut a 50 foot length, but I wouldn't have this handy holder so there's a trade off. When buying a rope it's important to keep in mind that some ropes are not listed by their working load but are instead rated by their minimum breaking load (MBL or breaking strength) A good and safe rule of thumb if you only have the MBL is to take it and 0.15 to get the rope's safe working load And if you need to know a rope's MBL but only know its working load, multiply by 4. These reserves will keep you within the limits of a given rope, assuming it's new and undamaged. Never use worn or worn out rope.
