Review on Sewell Deadbolt Banana Plugs 6-Pairs: 🔌 Gold Plated, Quick Connect Speaker Plugs (SW-29863-6) by Sean Davis

Tips spray painted unplated gold. I contacted the seller when I noticed that one of the "gold plated" tips appeared to be rubbing off like paint. and paint them with spray paint. This leads to corrosion over time and is just stupid. at least when I asked them if they were painted, they admitted they were. So that's honesty! Others have commented on the poor quality of the tips and their wear over time. I would agree! And this is further evidence of the poor quality material used in the tips of the plugs (which they try to pass off as gold plated). The only reason I didn't give a star was because the company actually admitted that the tips were varnished and not coated. and they crimp the wire well. But for a music lover, those banana plugs are totally unacceptable. Went back and contacted Revain because Sewell apparently incorrectly advertised these connectors as "gold plated connectors". Last time I checked, the TIP is one of the most important connection points! Don't fall for their lies! Revain said they will start an investigation, I hope they don't just scold me Update: The number of reviews on this item has gone from almost 10,000 to less than 3,000. Thank you Revain for getting rid of a lot of "bought" fraudulent reviews! I know you can't have them all. They still falsely advertise stuff on their site… Also, I forgot to mention in this review that I compared the sound quality with them and a set of FosPower plugs (non-magnetic!) side by side and I couldn't believe it to my ears , what difference does it make when the full signal goes to the speaker! I've noticed a fuller sound and bass from a speaker with a non-magnetic connector. It was a journey!
