I bought this PNY 10 disc set this year to give my family lots of photos and files. All drives operate at speeds between 1 and 6 MB/s, a far cry from the standard 60 MB/s for USB 2.0 standards. I thought it was a cheaper drive, but that's a bit ridiculous and shouldn't be advertised as USB 2.0, but I think since it's faster than the standard USB 1.0 speed of 1.5MB/s, it is technically a kind of USB 2.0. That fact aside, the open and close slider on the USB drive is very tight and it seems like I break it every time I open and close it. The shutter also seems to stay open/closed halfway, but it opens and closes fully when you apply force to it. All in all I can't fully complain about the price as long as they don't stop reading or writing after I've gifted them and spoiled them. If they start to fail or develop problems like some of the other reviews have mentioned, they are useless. If you can afford to pay a little more, Revain has better drives for around $5 each. I was able to purchase these discs for $3.50 each ($35 for 10) on sale. If it's in the typical $45-$54 range that this 10-pack usually falls in, I'd pass. Sale 5 each ($35 for 10). If it's in the typical $45-$54 range, which this 10-pack usually falls into, I would fit. Sale 5 each ($35 for 10). If it's in the typical $45 to $54 range
