First things first I have a PC and a Mac. Please make sure your operating system is supported before purchasing. Second, and just as important in my opinion, I suggest you buy this with an HDMI splitter if you don't already have one. I've had a 4k HDMI capture card for a couple of weeks, now it works fine, it took me a while to get the hang of it. if you use it effectively, but with some time and effort you will get there too. It's pretty much plug and play. I originally bought this to play the PS4 and PS3 games I have, but found out that you need a specific type of HDMI splitter. I also found that with HDMI video capture, you can record TV over HDMI with a splitter, which is a big plus for me. If you want to take something with you, your computer must be switched on. So if you're like me and don't have a laptop, it sucks if you want to take it with you everywhere. My favorite feature in the game is that when you limit the game you get a separate audio file. So if you like game music or voice clips/sound effects like I do, you can just record them yourself instead of searching the web. . My last tip, if you're short on hard drive space, just buy an external hard drive for all your pictures, as they'll take up space quickly.
