Great product! Some written instructions would be nice (I didn't have any), because it's not at all apparent how the connector can be used in a "field installation" without cutting and re-crimping the lugs. In fact, the rubbery pads are removable from the sleeve and are (discreetly) slotted so they can be opened and wrapped around the cables. Press ties are attached to existing cable lugs if there are no covers on the terminals. However, the boots can be cut with an Xacto knife to allow the clamps to go through the compression straps. I should add that only one of the spacers in one of the blocks I purchased was actually cut for "field install" but I was able to easily cut the other with my Xacto knife.
