I chose a height of 6 inches so the edge doesn't touch the chairs. lace looks fashionable; The burgundy parts are translucent. So if you have a light table, this can change the darkness/lightness of the part of the tablecloth that covers the table. I have a darker wood table and am very happy with how it looks.
