Standard mount for a small radio. However, this does NOT work well with the Bendix-King EPH/GPH handheld - the elastic pouch is too tight and the top velcro strap goes right through the screen on the front of the radio when the battery (standard size or clamshell) is inserted into the elastic bottom . However, it is suitable for small radio stations. I was a bit surprised by the additional pocket on the front. This would be a good size and configuration for the "clamshell" phones we all used a few years ago, but it's the wrong shape for the iPhone and it's cramped for many popular GPS units - I have this with me Tried a Garmin etrex and although the unit fit it was difficult to get in and out quickly. I've had many radios, starting with those old Motorola black jeans, and I'm always looking for the right one. Since I need to use it for a BK handheld, it doesn't. Could be good for ski patrol provided you use a radio that fits in a pocket and preferably has a screen on the top of the radio rather than the front.
