tl;dr Would buy again and recommend for work. I'm from. I can't comment on other operating systems, but for me, my overall experience was good. I've been using them all day and for the last month. I like that they have slightly larger ear cups than some other similar purpose headsets I own. They feel a little warmer on my ears than others, but not by much. And really, after wearing these or other headphones on my head for 6-8 hours straight, it doesn't matter anymore. My ears are getting warm anyway. I also like that they are very light and relatively small when folded. I see myself as a travel headset when I travel again. (boo covid) ANC works great and in most situations I switch it to an adaptive setting that can be adjusted through the phone app. Microphone monitoring or "sidetone" is fine. I'd like to raise it higher, but that's a small thing. For example, the Plantronics Voyager 8200UC microphone sounds louder and clearer. It's still definitely loud enough to hear itself, and you don't routinely need to pull an ear and an ear. My personal preference would be to make the max mic monitor volume maybe 1.5x higher than it is now, so the user can adjust it as needed. Who knows, maybe that will be done with a future firmware update? Microsoft Team works great with them. The call quality is good, but it becomes very good after turning on the "Call Enhancer" feature. I can't stress this enough. Turn this feature on now! If you close your eyes during a call, hopefully not during a video conference, it sounds like you're talking to someone in the same room, and the audio is exceptionally clear. Speaking of call quality, nobody had hearing problems. For a design without an arrow, they're really good. I tested the microphone's ability to cancel noise with a variety of background noise. Even if the fan blows directly in my face, I can still be understood, but the sound becomes "grainier" because the fan noise is eliminated and my voice is preserved. Pretty cool stuff. If you have a loud keyboard. Spring. it does what it can, but no boomless design can completely kill the mx blue switches. let's just be honest. It works well, but keyboard clicks are audible when toggling with some noisy switches. Using a USB dongle to connect to a laptop and phone via Bluetooth provides a good experience once paired, but I have two issues: number. a pairing process. If you connect the key to your phone BEFORE pairing, be prepared to be disappointed. In my experience, this just wouldn't allow me to connect to my phone with an active key. It goes into pairing mode and my phone recognizes the device but just gives a generic message about not being able to pair. After the dongle was disconnected, I was able to pair without any problems and reconnecting the dongle worked as expected. Maybe this will be fixed in a future firmware update, but it was annoying. So keep this and the easy solution to disable the key in mind when trying to pair with your phone. Number two is the Windows/PC audio break. By this I mean that when the audio is playing on the PC, the phone's Bluetooth audio is interrupted. For example, a Teams meeting starts on the PC. In this situation, the PC should take precedence over Bluetooth audio. This works and when I turn on the music on my phone it pauses and the meeting audio takes over. An example of a problematic sound would be an email notification being played on a PC. It also breaks Bluetooth audio. So it makes perfect sense that this should pause and play, but it should ONLY happen when the PC volume is NOT muted. Even with the PC sound muted, the Bluetooth sound is STILL interrupted. This is a very annoying thing that shouldn't work this way and I hope this gets fixed in the future. On the Plantronics Voyager 8200UC, when I muted the PC, it didn't interrupt the phone's Bluetooth audio when I was receiving emails and playing audio. In general I like it very much. They're great for business use and highly recommended for those who hop in and out of Microsoft Teams meetings throughout the day. They're also great for background music or streaming while you work. There are also no complaints about the battery life or the wireless range.
