I was trying to save space in my house by using more walls so when I saw them I thought they were perfect than Decoration and functional toy for a kitten. It was very easy to assemble and attach to the wall. If you can't find bolts, you can use toggle bolts. I wouldn't recommend plastic anchors. I've used pry bolts and these shelves aren't going anywhere. Looks great and worth buying. Didn't see my cat jump there, but I checked the shelf by placing the kitty there. The shelf is sturdy and the kitty loves it.
