My wife was able to use this voltage converter with her curling iron in the UK, France and Germany. She didn't try a hair dryer as all hotels have one in the room. In the French and German sockets, the plug is a bit loose, but that didn't cause any problems. She had to use one of the included socket adapters for UK use which made the connection shakier but still worked great. I was able to use the built in USB ports to charge multiple Apple devices (iPhone 8) at the same time. , iPhone Xs Max, iPad Pro) no problem. However, the device got a bit warm when several devices were connected. The only problem I had with the voltage converter was that when I tried to connect the chargers for two of my cameras to it at the same time, I could only connect one. because the sockets were too close together. My chargers didn't have cords either. Perhaps it would solve this problem if the manufacturer rotated the exhaust port 90 degrees.
