NO, you won't be using it often, and no, it's not a rugged device, but how else are you going to drill a 1" hole in the side of PVC pipe or cut the right size hole in a piece of pipe? ? Plastic. I used one to cut a hole in the freezer shelf to access the ice maker switch. I've had one for over 40 years and haven't used it often, but it's got me out of a jam every time. Get it and keep it in your magic box, one day you will be glad you did! Tip; Work slowly and carefully, it's basically a hacksaw, let the saw do the cutting.
