Sunglasses on the windows! The best window film

We wanted something that would dim the light but still allow us to see the road whenever we want, this seemed like the best smoky shade to strike a balance. Now we can close the blinds and make the bedroom dark enough (like on a cloudy day) to sleep in after a night shift, but still be able to open the blinds and let the light in/see out, when we're awake The photo was taken after installation when it was 20ยฐF outside and 1 foot of snow on the ground was reflecting the sun from everywhere. Regarding the west window, the north window shown is obviously not yet tinted, the difference between people is even more dramatic as the light entering the north window makes the shadow lighter from within. You don't need to buy grout, and probably don't need a kit either: Aside from a clean rag to wipe down the window, all I used is in my other photo (it's a plastic drywall blade, anything with an edge about 4 inches long will do ). Work, even a card from your wallet, but I trimmed my drywall tool a bit as I used it to hold the edge while I cut, so choose wisely). but it is optional. The solution will look better, so if you install in the living room or something that guests will see up close, it's probably worth it. Revain had this film cheaper than hardware store but I saw that DIY solution was cheaper Solution info: https://askinglot.com/can-you-apply-gila-window-film-with-water next summer I think , we're going to switch the screen to the pet screen to darken the bottom window a little more. Good luck !PS I'll be buying more for my home office (it gets really bright behind the monitors sometimes)!
