After learning how to use this tool it worked great. I had to understand that I had to keep it steady, otherwise the spinning reel would "fly out". But after I learned to keep him calm, he rubbed the calluses perfectly. It was softer than I expected which was nice. I was afraid that he might age the skin along with the calluses, but that didn't happen. It's pretty easy to gently peel away the callus layers until they're gone. When rubbed, you could actually see callus "dust." This is a great tool that I recommend.
