To: NETGEAR, my message to Jasmine, I don't know if she will ever get my message, but I had to post my experience with NETGEAR. To: Jasmine, NETGEAR Technical Support. By: Roy Zank. Problem 1: Have two computers 50-60 feet apart over a $50 basic hotspot. Task 2. July 1, 2019. 50-60 feet apart. One is in my home office and the other is in our carpentry shop, which is used primarily for browsing the web to look for carpentry plans, projects and tools. Bought a $50 base 4 years ago which according to specs had a 40-50ft signal range. So if I put Hotspot in the middle between them it should work fine. Well not really, in 4 years I had to move the access point a bit - from 6 inches to a foot - and I got a signal. So when I heard about NETGEAR Night Hark, which has a signal strength of 220 feet, the techs said it should be fun. So July 1st assured Night Hark (NH) would be able to do the job I bought NH. On the way home I was so excited that I set up NH and got Wi-Fi on both computers. After a few days of weak or no signal, Night Hark has become a "Nightmare" for me, I repeat "Nightmare"! I could not receive a signal from (NH) 20 feet. But with the help of Jasmine's recommendation I needed the antenna I bought, NETGEAR 6000450 MIMO ANTENNA WITH 2 TS-9 PORTS. I call Jasmine back and she recommended I buy Net Gear's Extender Mod @ AC1900 Mesh Wi-Fi Extender, seamless roaming that works with any Wi-Fi 33 router or hotspot, which I received on Saturday. July 6th and put into production - now fighting with NETGEAR Basic Access Point for the first time in 4 years and Nightmare 24/7 for 7 days. Bar signal in both computers 60 feet apart. What a wonderful world, I'm so happy because after 4 years of suffering with your $50 basic hotspot, I'm buying Night Hark with a promise to provide a 220ft signal - NO. However, with the help of Jasmine and the knowledge of Gear's equipment network, I'm with you now, she turned my "Nightmare" into a Night Hark. I'll end here: Jasmine, I love you once, I love you twice --- I love you more than beans and rice! This is a salute to "Naturally NAwlins" for many things: job well done, kind thanks for helping me turn my Nightmare into Night Hark and get it working. Now when I go to my streaming channels settings, it says 'Great'. God bless and what a wonderful world RoyP.S. If it hadn't been for Jasmine throwing me a lifeline to overcome the inadequacy of NH I would have gotten my money back but I would still have a bad signal problem. Jasmine, turn my lemons into lemons, help. Shouldn't that be the goal of all Americans?
