This took 20 minutes or less. I was a bit taken aback at first, but then after playing with the pieces for 5 minutes I realized which pieces go first and where to put them. Not sure why other reviews complained that it took half an hour or an hour and it was very easy to put together. The small white clips that attach to the top after screwing in the screws don't come off well and are a potential hazard to pets. I had to throw them away after realizing they had fallen off and my pet was chewing on them. Two screws won't turn, I've been trying to turn them for 5 minutes with no luck. The house looked like I was given a used one that someone returned? I'm not sure but overall it's only $15-16, it's pretty durable and very pretty. Some things could be better like those two screws and the clips that cover the screws. Very cute, easy to assemble. Thanks!
