Yeah, maybe not Infinity, Polk etc but it's funky to my music loving ears. In addition to my "budget" stereo upgrade which included 4 new Kenwood speakers and a Kenwood 2din deck, they changed the world. The highs and lows are crisp and LOUD as others have noted, maybe a little too loud, but having a quality deck with advanced EQ features allowed me to tune them up pretty well. I wasn't trying to save money on $8 tweets. I wouldn't mind spending more but I bought these because of the fantastic reviews and I'm glad I did. But the price makes them an easy 5 star product. Just installed it in my Nissan Xterra's dashboard and completely destroyed the crappy tweets they replaced. I reused and plugged in the high pass filters from my standard tweets and it smoothed/tamed them a bit (you can buy them at Radio Shack for a buck or two), so this is recommended. I highly recommend adding these tweets if you are upgrading a factory sound system with cheap components. This 3-way tweets, 3-way pair Kenwood 6x9, 2-way Kenwood 6x5 rear plus Kenwood 2din deck = boom, clean sounding system for about $200 with no amp. i can't win
