Review on Bookshelf speaker system BEHRINGER Truth B2031A 1 speaker black by Stanislaw Glusinski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are some variations, but tolerable on the whole.

Picked up for listening to music (not for studio purposes). The entire range from 250 hertz and above - no questions asked. Here, there is a transparent, non-protruding middle and soft tops. But the bass is very disappointing. I expected from these rather big speakers at least not a hurricane, but at least a normal comfortable and deep bass. Moreover, according to the characteristics, they have everything for this - both the large size of the case and the dynamics and good power. But what I heard surprised me. The bass seems to be cut below 100 Hertz. The equalizer saves a little, but not radically. In addition, there is an unpleasant mumbling, obviously from phase inverters, in the region of 100-200 Hertz. It all depends on the style of the music, of course. I also have a Microlab SOLO 1C, and so Microlab, which is 5 times cheaper, 2 times smaller in volume, with a smaller speaker and less power, calmly and easily wins the depth and power of the bass. If you look at the technical characteristics, it is not at all clear how this can be. Perhaps for studio purposes, the speakers are not bad (and I doubt it), but for listening to music, I would not buy them. Neither the price nor the size nor the weight of these speakers meet expectations. from the good - the whole range from 250 to 20,000 is very even. But they have no bass, believe me.

Pros
  • All range except bass.
Cons
  • There is no bass (you can say it is not).
