Where no other normal funnel goes
I bought a Wen generator and the oil filler plug was hidden under the bottom of the generator with no vertical clearance for the funnel. The increased reach of the flared end of the funnel made it possible to penetrate the engine opening and fill it without leakage. This provided a cost effective solution for this application that would likely last longer than a generator. Note: This is well done for what it is for its purpose. If you're a pro, you probably need a more durable funnel.
