Not bad, but we had some assembly issues which would have been easier on a workbench. Unfortunately, when we were done, he wasn't sitting up straight. Also, one side of one plank cracked slightly when we tightened the screw - the wood is a bit brittle and not particularly dense. To set it up straight, I unscrewed all the screws and stocked the shelf with wine bottles. It's level now, but I haven't removed the wine bottles or tightened the screws to make sure the alignment is permanent. I'll have to do a little more splitting later, maybe with a toothpick, wood glue, and an overnight clamp. More work than I was hoping for, but when it works it's still good value for money.
