My daughter is 10 years old and usually wears a size 9/10 in children's clothing. She could wear 7/8 leggings, but then they look more like capris than pants. She is slim/thin with very long legs. Nevertheless, I ordered size 14 and they fit her perfectly in length and waist. The material stretches a little after wearing it for a while, but not so much that it's too big for her. I've bought other models that faded after 2-3 washes. This pink owl set doesn't seem to fade that much. I have washed and dried it 4 times now and the color is still as vibrant as when I received it. The owl was sewn very well too.
