My 12 year old daughter needed a white button down shirt to wear to the band concert. She chose this shirt because of the extra frills. After reading the reviews the plus sizes seem to fit as expected and this has been our experience with the 2XL shirt for 12-13 year olds. My daughter usually wears baby 12/14. The shirt has been worn to two shows and I expect it will carry us through the rest of the years. The material is thin, so have a t-shirt ready.
